I Am Oil Paint — Hear Me Roar!

I arrived at the zoo and soon heard a bone-shuddering ROAR. It was feeding time!

I followed the sound around the paths and by the time I found the lion enclosure, Solomon was well fed and happily bathing himself in the Arizona sun, his pride relaxing nearby. He looked supremely satisfied.

The distance between me and the male lion was pretty long, so the reference photo is grainy, but there is enough information there to make this oil painting that uses every color of the rainbow.

This project is perfect for those all-in-one sets that come packaged with new easels or art kits sold in box stores at Christmas. Plus it’s a whole lot of fun to use every color in your set and come out with a beautiful painting!
