I use some surprising colors to make this red bell pepper stand out in pastels. Who knew you could use purple and chartreuse to make red POP.

The supply list details exactly which colors I used in the video, but feel free to mix and match from pastels you already have.

  • UArt 400 sanded pastel paper in a light color.

  • Pastel pencil in a muted green

  • Soft pastels in the following colors:

  • Greens: Medium dark green, light olive, chartreuse

  • Cool colors: Medium dark purple, very pale blue

  • Soft peach or tan

  • Red: bright, vibrant red
