Are you the kind of person who sees what others miss?

Powers of observation — so important to artists — can be developed. Some people are born with a keen eye and always see what no one else notices.

That’s not me.

I see most things from the 30,000-ft view. I see the Big Picture.

I’ve been trying to sharpen my observation skills (it CAN be done), so when my friend, Sandy, gave me these sunflowers I thought, “Look at them from a different angle.” I turned them around, and the sculptural beauty of the back of the sunflower made me reach for my colored pencils.

What about you? From what angle would you see them?
